Results matter. Our team expects to be measured by the outcomes and other performance measures that are established by our clients. Legislators, not lobbyists, pass or defeat bills. But lobbyists facilitate the process, and play a key role in the success or failure of measures by helping to shape and present the right message at the right time, to the right individuals.
Our team members share a long list of successful efforts on behalf of governmental affairs clients. A few examples of our work include: changing state law to save our clients millions of dollars in state taxes; helping to create and utilize the state’s primary economic development tools; helping to procure large state contracts; securing transportation funding for significant projects; creating state policies that support the development of cleaner energy sources; helping to provide the structure for the redevelopment of closing military bases; representing large cities and counties on a multitude of issues; and, securing more funding and better policies for substance abuse treatment and prevention.
Perhaps the best way to assess our integrity, work ethic and effectiveness is to visit with some of our current and former clients. Set forth below is a partial listing. Contact information and a more complete list are available upon request. Although our major practice areas include taxation, transportation, energy, economic development, and health care, please note we have a broad portfolio of client interests that represent many other areas.
